Thiago Pereira Lobo

I am a Professor of Economics at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, and I also teach at the Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV-EESP) and at FGV's School of International Relations. I hold a PhD in Economics from FGV-EESP, and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Sao Paulo (FEARP-USP).

My research focuses on the intersection of Environmental, Green Finance, Agricultural, and Development Economics. I'm currently fascinated by the impacts of technology (including finance innovations) on social and environmental outcomes. In 2022, my work on technological progress and climate change received the 2nd place Best Paper award in Applied Microeconomics at the Brazilian Econometric Society (SBE) meeting.

I also believe that active learning methodologies are the foundation for educating the students of the future, as they help students engage and become better professionals.
